Diving back into this engine to see if it will work for me. Any new news? Hows the GPU progress? Ive noticed that this doesnt support more than one UV Mapping ID?
A new official release will be coming soon. On the GPU side we have begun to add basic infrastructure code to the appleseed sources and more will be added continuously in the future.

True, multiple UV mapping IDs is a feature which is not yet supported but it is on our radar.
